Data protection is extremely important to us at Kimco Ltd. In this privacy policy, you will find all the information on how we ensure the privacy of our customers and users of our website kimco.be.     Any natural person who provides us with personal data. The GDPR does not cover business data.

  2. What does ‘processing of data’ mean and who is responsible for the same?

    The processing of data refers to every action carried out on and with data. This includes among other things the storage, collection, processing, copying, forwarding and deletion of data.

    The person/entity ("data controller") responsible for the processing of data is Kimco ltd.. For specific questions concerning the data and processing of the same, please contact our Data Protection Officer (hereinafter referred to as DPO) on our general telephone number or by mail.

  4. What do we use this data for?

    
Kimco ltd. collects personal information that is required to ensure an optimum working of the site. This information may be used by Kimco ltd. for campaigns or reports of a commercial nature. Analytical data obtained on the website is automatically anonymised and Kimco ltd. cannot use the same to personally identify or contact you. We use this information to optimise our website if necessary. 
Kimco ltd. also collects information in log files. This information is used for internal purposes such as traffic and profile analysis, in order thereby to further improve the services offered by the site.

  5. How do we protect your data?

    At Kimco ltd., all data is on the servers of Mink nv. They are not accessible from outside and are protected by a firewall. We also take a triple backup of these data. These 3 backups are not connected to each other and 2 of the same are not stored within Mink itself. In this manner, our data is always accessible to us, but is still protected.

  6. What if something goes wrong with the protection of your data?

    Under the GDPR, Kimco ltd. is required to notify any problem that occurs with the protection of data of natural persons to all the concerned parties within 72 hours. Thereafter we do everything we can to resolve these problems as quickly as possible and we also make adjustments to our security policy in order to prevent similar problems in the future.

    The GDPR does not cover business data. Since loss, damage, or theft of this data can adversely affect the working of Kimco ltd., we shall also communicate this to our customers whenever relevant.

  7. Do we sell your data to third parties or do we forward your details to others?

    Kimco ltd. undertakes never to disclose your data to third parties without the explicit consent of the concerned party.

  8. How do you as a customer decide which personal data we may use and how?

    In principle, customers of Kimco ltd.. in the capacity of their company, have no control over what we do with their business data. In case of commercial e-mails, the option of unsubscribing is always available. In case of questions, please contact our DPO.

  9. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

    If you are a natural person, you will have the right at all times to request your personal data, to examine and edit the same, have the same transferred, or to delete them. For further information about this, please contact our DPO via telephone or e-mail.

  10. How long do we preserve your personal data?

    Personal data of natural persons is preserved for a maximum of 5 years. We may continue to maintain customer data, since these are not covered under the GDPR. We may retain information in legal and historical documents as long as Kimco ltd. exists.

  11. What about our websites, cookies and mobile apps?

    
Kimco ltd. uses ‘cookies’ (small pieces of information that are written to the hard disk of the user) in order to facilitate the use of the website and to receive anonymous analytical data. We ask you for information in specific cases (for example in the contact form) on our websites. Kimco ltd.. has no mobile apps.
